Eldon graduated from the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan in 1971. He practiced in Regina until 1973 when he moved to North Battleford and has practiced in North Battleford since then. Eldon carries on a general practice with primary areas of law being:

Eldon acts as Official Representative for mental health patients in the Prairie North Health Region, including Saskatchewan Hospital.

Eldon has appeared in all levels of Court in Saskatchewan and the Supreme Court of Canada. He was appointed to Queen’s Counsel for Saskatchewan in 1992.
